After years of vacancy, a former residential property along eastbound Route 70 in Cherry Hill has been demolished. Crews are clearing the site this week to prepare for a new affordable housing development. A nonprofit developer plans to construct 64 apartment units on the property.
VOADV Property Inc., operating as Lilly’s Place LP and affiliated with Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, will develop the 4.74-acre site. The project will include 52 senior independent-living apartments and 12 units for residents with supportive needs. The development will serve seniors and individuals requiring additional housing support.
The long, narrow property sits west of Old Orchard Road. It borders the Wexford Leas Swim Club and several homes on Highgate Lane. The site sits between St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church and First Korean United Methodist Church of Cherry Hill.
