A long-vacant property on Evesham Road in Cherry Hill could soon see new development.
Rady Enterprise LLC, operating as South Jersey Assisted Living of Wilmington, Delaware, submitted plans for a memory care facility. The project would bring a 32-bed licensed residential facility to the site.
The development, called Sun Meadow Memory Care of Cherry Hill, would rise on a 1.3-acre parcel at 158 East Evesham Road. The property sits next to Cherry Hill Liquors and has remained vacant for decades.
According to application documents, the project would move forward in two phases.
However, the proposal requires zoning relief. Assisted living facilities are not specifically permitted within the Neighborhood Business Zone.
A remote public hearing is scheduled for May 21. The caucus begins at 7 p.m., followed by the hearing at 7:30 p.m.
The township also requested a tree-removal and replacement plan as part of the review process.
Once completed, Sun Meadow Memory Care expects to employ 12 staff members across both buildings.
The proposal reflects growing demand for specialized senior care services throughout South Jersey.
