A developer’s request to build a childcare center at a busy Cherry Hill intersection was decisively rejected by the Zoning Board of Adjustment early Friday morning after a lengthy 5½-hour meeting. MIRA Properties sought a variance to construct an 8,885-square-foot Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care, complete with a 3,500-square-foot fenced play area and 47 parking spaces, on a wooded lot at Kresson Road and Browning Lane. The site, which previously housed two single-family homes, raised concerns among board members about fitting the center onto the corner lot, even before the meeting began.
